General Information
| DATE AND VENUE | From May 19 to
May 21, 2002. The Inter-Congress Meeting will be held at Hotel Dino in Baveno, on the Lago Maggiore, in Northern Italy. |
| OFFICIAL LANGUAGE | The conference
language is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided. |
| CLIMATE | In May the weather
on Lago Maggiore is usually very pleasant, temperatures range between 15° and 25°. |
| PROGRAM | The scientific
program will be responsibility of the chair persons of the different Working Groups and Associated Societies. |
| EXHIBITION | A trade and scientific exhibition will be held during the Congress. |

| SUNDAY, May 19 | Meeting point at Grand Hotel
Dino (Congress Venue) with the local guide at 9h30 a.m. and departure
by private boats for the Borromean Islands. Visit of Madre Island the largest of the islands with its English garden one of the most charming in Italy rich of tropical and mediterranean plants and its imposing palace, the first Borromean residence on the lake. Transfer by boat to Pescatori Island here a very ancient village of fishermen can be seen. Lunch in Restaurant. In the afternoon visit to Bella Island, the most famous and well know of the Borromean Islands with its elegant, baroque palace and its Italian garden formed by 10 terraces. After the visit back to the hotel by private boats. |
